5. Lemon juice
Lemon juice is a natural antibacterial substance which also makes an effective exfoliant and astringent. It can help to remove dead skin, dry out acne and unclog pores. You can mix it with rosewater or honey, apply it, leave for 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
6. Oatmeal
Oatmeal is well-known as a healthy breakfast meal, but it’s also effective as a remedy for acne scarring. It is a natural antioxidant and can rid the skin of itchiness, dead skin dryness, and cytokines which can cause inflammation. It also contains zinc which can balance natural oils. You can use oatmeal as a face mask by mixing it with milk, coconut water or honey.
7. Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has been used in natural remedies for centuries for numerous health complaints, and acne is one of those it can be beneficial for. It has anti-fungal properties that can protect against infection, speed up the healing process and reduce inflammation while preventing the production of sebum and the build-up of dirt.
