We’re so sad to inform you that your favorite M&M is causing you more harm than good and you might consider stop consuming it.
Your favorite M&M snack was created by Forrest E. Mars and William F.R Murrie in 1941. The name of the brand was actually coined out of the names of its creators. Those tiny, delicious treats are now being sold in more than 100 countries worldwide and they come with 33 different fillings. M&M were first made for soldiers who went to war in order to provide them with dark chocolate that won’t melt in their hands.
In 1976, red candies were prohibited because of the unnatural dyes. The colors were believed to be carcinogenic, but that didn’t stop the reintroduction of red candies in 1983.
