Instead of buying at the store, prepare these much healthier vegetable broths at home.
Onion-Carrot Broth
Ingredients:
- 1-2 onions (chopped)
- 3 carrots (cut in small pieces)
- 3-4 celery stalks (chopped)
- 1 small bunch coriander leaves (roughly mashed)
- 3-4 springs fresh thyme
- Water
Method:
First wash the veggies thoroughly. Add all the ingredients in a large pot. Cover them with enough water. Cover with lid and let it simmer on high heat for 15 minutes and medium-low heat for 45 minutes. Strain and store it in the fridge. Use it within 3-4 days.
Potato-Mushroom Broth
Ingredients:
- 3-4 potatoes (cut in small pieces)
- 2 medium sized tomatoes (chopped)
- Handful mushrooms (cut in small pieces)
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- Handful coriander leaves (mashed)
- Water
Method:

Broccoli-Spinach Broth

- 1 full bunch spinach
- 2 cups peas
- 1 big sized onion (chopped)
- 2 medium sized tomatoes (chopped)
