One man was taking his early morning walk when he noticed a cat carrier in the middle of the sidewalk. There was a cat inside, meowing, asking for help…
The poor cat has been abandoned in the middle of the street with all his stuff.
The kind-hearted man who found the cat knew he couldn’t leave it so he contacted Celia Hammond Animal Trust to ask for help.
“As he had to get to work, we arranged for the man to get the train to Canning Town and one of our rescue workers met him at the station to collect Marcus,” says Celia Hammond, of Celia Hammond Animal Trust.
The man who rescued the cat wanted to adopt him, but he couldn’t since he lived in a building where no pets are allowed. The cat was scanned for a microchip and that’s how they found his name- Marcus. Marcus got checked by a vet and he was physically fine, although his heart was broken by the abandonment.
Now, Marcus is hoping to find a new home and a loving family.
