Yogurt
Yogurt, actually dairy products in general, are packed with protein and calcium. Both of which help your teeth stay strong and healthy.
If you have a browse in the yogurt aisle in your local supermarket you’ll quickly notice the bright colours and overflow of cartoon animals, best to stay away from the most colourful packaging. A lot of the yogurts that you can buy in supermarkets are filled with sugar. Make sure to choose the sugar free option.
Water
Water is good for so many things. Actually, we can’t think of a situation where water isn’t good?
Whilst being good for your body and mind, it washes away leftover food and keeps your mouth hydrated.
Apples
Apples are a bit of a controversial entry on the list of superfoods. Whilst the average apple has a whooping 23g of sugar, they’re actually quite good for your oral health.
Because apples are packed with water, they help produce more saliva. The more saliva you produce, the quicker your teeth recuperate after meals and acid attacks.
Tea
First thing first, we’re not talking english breakfast tea with two spoonfuls of sugar and half a pint of full fat milk.
Black and green tea both contain compounds called polyphenols. These compounds help slow the growth of bacteria in your mouth. The more you can slow down bacteria, – the better your chances of fighting of cavities.
Celery
Now this is some entry to the super food list. Albeit not everyone’s cup of tea, and with a bit of a blend green taste, celery is brilliant for getting rid of leftover foods.
As you take a bite into a celery stick, it separates into a hundred little strings that essentially work as a slightly less advanced dental floss. Don’t go replacing your flossing and brushing with chewing, but consider bringing some celery into your diet.
Almonds
Almonds are full of calcium and protein, whilst still being low in sugar. Essentially they come with all the benefits that dairy products do, but they’re a tasty treat.

Carrots
Munching on carrots helps produce more saliva. More saliva helps combat caries. Easy as that. And then they’re good for your body, too!
