Time is unstoppable and one year passes in the blink of an eye. Photographer Josephine Sittenfeld decided to highlight the passage of time with the portraits of her friends she took back in 2000. Back then, Josephine was a junior and she photographed on medium- format film. The photos were collecting dust in her parent’s house until one day she decided to use them. Her 15 year college reunion was approaching and she decided to recreate the same photos.
She called her project “Reunion”, series of before and after photos of one class that spend years together. The photos show the transformation of each and very individual and how differently each person has aged.
“At twenty, I felt something intangible, indescribable, full of energy. Only now am I able to describe it—the ultimate sensing of a life ahead,” says Josephine’s ex-roommate.
