Rosemary Lavender Soap
Ingredients:
- 3 cups glycerin soap base
- ¼ cup infusion of lavender flowers and rosemary leaves*
- 1 and ½ tbsp lavender oil
- ½ tbsp rosemary oil
- 1 tbsp pulverized dried rosemary
Preparation:
Use a double boiler to melt the soap base into liquid form. Add the infusion, the oils and some pulverized rosemary leaves. Stir a little to ensure even distribution, and then immediately poured the liquid into molds.
Lemon Soap
Ingredients:
- 1 and ½ cup of cubed Goats Milk Soap Base or Shea Butter Soap Base
- 4-6 drops Lemon Essential Oil
- 3-4 lemons Dried Lemon Zest
Preparation:
Cut the soap in cubes and microwave them for 30 seconds. Once soap cubes are liquid, add a few drops of the lemon essential oil and the lemon zest. Stir well. Pour into soap molds and let it harden for at least one hour. Press mold to release soap.
Chamomile and Lavender Soap for Babies
Ingredients:
- 80 gr.coconut oil
- 25 gr.jojoba oil
- 750 gr. olive oil
- 100 gr. lye
- 280 gr. distilled water
- 16 gr chamomile or lavender essential oil or 8 gr. of each
Preparation:
Place the 280gr of distilled water into your jag and very slowly stir in the lye. Stir slowly until it’s dissolved. The temperature will rise very quickly to 220°F. Now place the pitcher into a cold water bath in your sink and begin to take its temperature. The goal is 100°F. Put all the oils, except the lavender and chamomile, into a pot and heat them at a low temperature trying to reach 100°F. When both the lye and the oils are at 100°F, pour the lye mixture very slowly into the oil mixture. Continue stirring with a spatula. Add in the 16gr of essential oils and stir well. Then pour your soap into your molds.
