A TikTok user @shans1588 decided to share her incredible birth story. She was 38-weeks pregnant when she had a C-section to deliver her second child. The unique thing about this mother’s birth is that her son weighted 14 pounds, 0.6 ounces and was 24 inches long. This beautiful mama’s boy was the „size of a toddler“ and twice as big as the average newborn, noting that an average baby is around 7.5 pounds, although between 5.5 pounds and 10 pounds is considered normal.
The baby was even above the length range, being born 24 inches.
The mother and her newborn spent 11 days in the NICU, where he was the biggest baby. They haven’t even had diapers and clothes his size since he was as big as a 9-months old baby.
The video of this story went viral on TikTOk and received more than 7 million likes. Some people even joked about her son’s birthing size.
One week after posting her birthing story, the mother shared several follow-up photos of her son through the years, revealing he’s now a healthy and happy 5-year old.
