You’ve probably never heard of this tiny, cute creature. It’s called Ili Pika and it’s one of the most endangered creatures in the world. They can be found only in China and there are less than 1000 left. This tiny Ili Pika is the first one seen in 20 years.
This certain specie has been discovered in 1983 in Northwest China and their population dropped by 70%. This cute, little creature is considered to be a relative of rabbits and is so rare that scientist don’t know much about them.
“I discovered the species, and I watched as it became endangered. If it becomes extinct in front of me, I’ll feel so guilty”, says Li Weidon, the person that discovered them.
Li has named this adorable creature “the magic rabbit”.
