The Pakistani photographer Atif Saeed had an interesting confrontation with a lion from the zoo park in Lahore. The photographer got out from his jeep to take some photos of the lion but the sound of the lens disturbed the lion and he rushed towards Atif to attack him. The lion rushed towards Atif and minutes before getting to him, Atif managed to take these amazing photos of the angry lion before jumping back in his jeep to escape the attack.
“I was thinking – I must show the character and status of lion and this was the only way I could think of to achieve this. I was sitting in front of him just near my car and the door of my car was open. I was sat on ground few feet away, so he was treating me like his prey… I was laughing at that time, but now when I think back about the incident I don’t think I would be able to do it again. It was a pretty close encounter,” explains Atif.
