Acne Body Map
Zone 1 – Hormones
Having acne in this zone might be an indicator that your adrenaline glands are in overdrive. These acne also means that you’re under stress or that you’re consuming too much sugar.
Zone 2 and 3 – Stress
Acne in these 2 areas means that you’re under a lot of stress and you’re too sensitive and vulnerable.
Zone 4 – Digestive system
Acne in this area can be caused by fungal infections and allergies or they might be an indicator of digestive problems, such as poor diet, eating too much spicy foods or drinking too much cold beverages.
Zone 5 and 6 – Vitamin levels
It’s really easy to get keratosis pilaris on your arms since that area is coarser. It appears as small, rough, goose bumpy spots that are caused by bad circulation. To make these spots go away, regularly exfoliate and use moisturizers. If the spots don’t go away, it might mean that a sign of how efficiently your body is receiving and using the vitamins.
Zone 7 – Blood sugar levels
The appearance of acne in this area is pretty rare since there are only few oil glands there. If you notice acne on these spots, it might be an indication of high blood pressure.
Zone 8 – Hygiene or STDS
Acne in this area can be caused by ingrown hairs or bad hygiene. If your spots are itching or don’t go away for a couple of days, it might be an indication of an STD.
Zone 9 and 10 – Allergies or Skin Sensitivities
Shower gels, body lotions, fabric softener and laundry detergents can cause acne to appear on the your upper legs and thighs. Acne on your lower legs can be caused by ingrown hair. Treat these acne with a body wash that contains glycolic acid and salicylic acid.
Zone 11 and 12 – Digestive and Nervous System
Acne in these areas can be caused by: excessive sweating, allergies, too tight clothes, friction from athletic gear, irritation caused by body and hair care products, laundry detergents, dryer sheets or fabric softeners. Another reason for the appearance of acne is because your diet contains high calorie foods or that you’re not getting enough sleep.
Zone 13 and 14 – Digestive System
Acne on your butt can be caused by too tight underwear, dirty underwear, really dry skin or bad digestion.
