“What happens when your last available dog gets adopted? Your staff and volunteers jump into the kennels to celebrate!” one happy staff member from the shelter posted on social media on Monday.
“The Humane Society of The Pikes Region” from Colorado had an incredibly successful adoption campaign, they named “Bring Them Home For The Holidays”. The shelter made adopting cats and dogs older than 5 years for free from December, 18 to New Year’s Eve. Free adoption made the shelter more attractive for people who want to adopt a kitten or a dog and gave those pets a true Christmas miracle.
As of Monday, people adopted 23 dogs and 25 cats and the shelter’s staff couldn’t be happier. They were thrilled that all the animals got a loving home.
“We’ll have more dogs available later tonight or tomorrow. Keep those adoptions coming!”.
