Murmuration is a phenomenon that occurs when thousands of starlings fly in swooping, intricately coordinated patterns through the sky. Maybe you’ve seen a murmuration before, but this one is especially beautiful.
This is the fascinating moment a murmuration of starlings made a giant bird in the sky. The breathtaking snap was captured by 53 years old Daniel Biber. He was observing thousands of birds in Costa Brava in northeastern Spain for 4 days.
Biber managed to take a series of images while birds merging into different shapes and forms. This brilliant spectacle was made when the starling birds were chased by a predator.
And the unique snap made this semi-professional photographer won the top prize in an international photography competition. The image was submitted to an international photography run by the bird observatory Vogelwarte Sempbach in Switzerland. Since then, Daniel had requests from many experts who want to use his images to prove the difference between real and modified photos.
