Nala was found on the streets, abandoned and pregnant. A good Samaritan noticed her, and took her to the vet, because the cat was obviously in labor and she had trouble delivering her kittens. Once she got to the vet, she had an emergency C-section and luckily, one of her kittens survived. After hearing about the news, an animal protection group called Dierenbescherming, took Nala and her kitten, so they could get a chance at a better life.
A couple of weeks later, the kitten grew into a healthy young cat and found a forever, happy home. Nala has also blossomed, thanks to the volunteers at the shelter. She adores people and smiles at everyone she meets. She has a permanent smile on her face because of a cleft lip and has a skin condition that requires a special diet. She only needs hypo-allergenic food.
Nala loves humans, and as soon as she sees a visitor, she gets really excited and starts meowing. She’s the happiest when she’s around people.
“The perfect home for her would be a house with a (fenced) garden, with humans who are at home a lot and who don’t have a problem with her special diet. She is okay being placed with other cats, but will need individual feeding,” says volunteer at the shelter.
Nala has the most radiant smile at the world and she can’t wait to get a forever, loving home!
