- Use a kefir starter culture.
The easiest and the best way to prepare it is by using kefir grains.
Ingredients:
- 7 cups fresh coconut water
- 5 tbsp kefir grains
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions:
Grab a ½ gallon jar and put 7 cups of coconut water in it. Put the kefir grains and a cinnamon stick in the coconut water. Cover the jar loosely and let it sit for 48 hours. Don’t let it ferment for too long because your jar might explode. Once it’s fermented, the coconut water will become lighter and cloudy and the kefir grains will rise up to the top. Remove the grains. Those same grains can be used for making a new batch or store them in water and put in refrigerator.
