Damaja Handmade finds pretty but forgotten vintage fabrics, and upcycles them into something new. The whole process is creative and spontaneous, inspired by an idea or a customer’s story.
It starts with a tiny sketch or drawing and ends up with unique decorative or wearable artsy item. Everything is made by hand, step by step, with the flow of a creative mind, a needle and a thread. The final products of this fiber art are mostly pillows, but also dolls, toys, wall décor items and bags. Three techniques are used mostly in the making process of the items: hand embroidery, machine embroidery and textile sewn collage. Every item is unique and designed by Damaja Handmade.
