Judy Obregon is a true animal lover. She runs the local rescue organization called “The Abandoned Ones” and drives on desolated roads every day looking for abandoned animals she can save. Unfortunately, the dogs she finds around Echo Lake Park are too often dead. This week, doing her regular drive she spotted a motion. A dog lifted her head and watched her.
Judy pulled over and rushed to get the dog. The little dog cried and limped towards Judy. When they finally got close, the dog put her face in Judy’s hand.
“I didn’t notice what she had around her neck until I put her in my vehicle. The saddest part is that even when she broke free of the string, she still stayed in the same spot, as if waiting for the people who left her there,” said Obregon.
A shoestring was tied around the dog’s neck and the other part was tied on the fence. It seems that the dog hurt herself trying to break free and that caused the limping.
Judy took the dog, which she later named Callie, and drove to the shelter to have her checked. The dog took a last glance back and gave her rescuer a kiss as thank you. The vet examined Callie and luckily, she was well and healthy.
*ADOPTED*The moment you leave Echo Lake ( Ftw , Tx ) well known dumping site for live and dead animals .You could tell she was still a bit afraid while we were creeping out of that hell hole . Doesn't take long to fall in love with an animal ❤I can't understand why evil hurts them ! Yet , they are so forgiving …with no voice !This video was taken moments after first video was posted for urgent help .Original Post : https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1373908142672391&id=184946124901938Once we got to a safe place , her back end was evaluated . She whined when touched , but as of this morning she is standing on all four . Praying nothing creeps up ..Donations are greatly appreciated directly to our rescue vet at Dr . Gibbs 817-294-9798 Or via PayPal @ https://paypal.me/taoanimalrescueHer name is Callie ❤More photos in comment section ..Love how she gives kisses ..again so forgiving , and another way of saying ..Thank you for saving me ! What was tied around her neck was also found on the fence she was near .We believe she chewed it off and managed to break away . When she realized she was in the middle of no where and dead dogs around her ..we assume she waited in the same spot she was abandoned.

“Dogs like this make me cry all the time. They are just so forgiving. I can see it in her eyes. She’s coming around to the point that she doesn’t give a damn about what happened to her before. Her past is behind her,” says Judy.
