Only with small steps you can keep your skin clean and healthy. Just choose the right diet to fight against acne.
What to eat:
Zinc rich foods
Food rich in zinc such as fish helps control the release of hormones and it is essential in cell growth and replication. Zinc has antimicrobial properties and helps your body to absorb Vitamin A, which is especially important for clear and healthy skin.
Selenium rich foods
Selenium can be found in wheat germ, garlic, eggs, brown rice, tuna and salmon and when paired with Vitamin E can improve the skin’s acne-fighting abilities. Selenium improves the elasticity of the skin, and reduces acne scars.
Water
Drinking enough water keeps your skin hydrated. With plenty of water, your skin can regenerate faster and can flush the toxins from your body.
What not to eat:
If you want your skin to be clear and acne-free, cut the milk and cheese from your the menu, at least reduce their consumption.
Anabolic hormones and insulin stimulation from dairy products just make your skin worse and prone to acne. Stay away from milk and cheese and try almond or rice milk instead.
