A new survey suggests that fitness trackers and the weight loss app can help people lose more weight. The survey involved more than 5000 people that use the popular weight loss application “Lose It” (you can simply download the application on Google Play). The end results showed that more than 60% people who used their fitness tracker alongside the app lost more weight than people who don’t use trackers.
“Motivation is a major factor in helping our members lose weight and it was exciting to see the role connecting an activity tracker to Lose It can play,” explains Charles Teague, CEO of “Lose It”.
92% of people claimed that using a fitness tracker and the app help them stay motivated and push harder.
Using a fitness tracker and the “Lose It” app can also give you an overall picture of your health. The “Lose It” app shows how many calories you should be consuming per day to achieve your weight loss goal and it also includes a database of foods and calorie tracker.
The bottom line is that wearable trackers can really help people change their behavior and stay on track. Not to mention, they can really help you be more motivated and lose that extra weight.
A previous study found that most smartphone apps are just as good at counting steps as wearable devices.
