The photo of the sad grandpa that cooked dinner for his 6 grandchildren and only one of them went to the dinner became viral.
Kenneth Harmon from Washington, Oklahoma, has made 12 burgers for his 6 grandchildren and his granddaughter Kelsey Harmon was the only one who showed up.
A few hours after Kelsey posted the photo of her grandpa Kenny on Tweeter, people started commenting and reacting emotionally. The internet became so involved in this family saga that someone even send the absent grandchildren death threats.
The sad grandpa finally got his opportunity to gather all his grandkids for dinner. This time he didn’t cook them burgers, they had dinner at the “Henryetta” restaurant.
The 66-year old grandpa says that he wasn’t as sad as he looked on the photo that went viral.
“I sometimes look like that. People tell me I don’t smile enough, but that’s just my personality,” says Kenny.
And now, in return for the huge love and support from strangers around the world, the sad Papaw has decided to host a cookout Saturday March 26 and everyone is invited.
