The Internet can sometimes be a really dark place, filled with trolls and hatred. It seems that people love to criticize and bring down other people from the comfort of their couch. This Reddit user is no stranger to bullies.
After losing a significant amount of weight and posting his amazing accomplishment on Reddit, the Internet trolls went after him. It seems that these people were upset that his photos were hitting the front page, so they started sending him mean comments and messages. His response was over the top, as he printed all the nasty comments on a T-shirt and took a photo of him wearing it. The guy hit the front page again, wearing the trolling comments and getting 141.000 upvotes.
“That being said, there are definitely trolls in the lurch ready to pounce on anyone. I’m certainly no exception. My skin is actually thinner than most on account of my previous weight having stretched it out. However, I do have thick skin (apologies for the obligatory dad joke),” says Nathan, the man behind the Reddit profile.
Nathan also explained that the comments didn’t bother him at all, since he grew up being constantly bullied about his weight. Nathan is encouraging other people to ignore online bullies and stick to your goal. Losing that weight was his accomplishment and we wouldn’t let anyone bring him down.
