The police officers in Berlin received an urgent call from the local hospital. They were surprised since they were asked to rescue a hamster! The poor little hamster was abandoned in a nearby bush and when the hospital staff saw him, they decided to call for help. Luckily, the officers took their rescue mission very seriously and rushed to save the little fellow.
“A police patrol found him and named him spontaneously Sir Henry. They put him in an empty box (usually made for clinic-gloves) and took him to the police station” explains the spokesperson for the Berlin Police.
Sir Henry got introduced to the police equipment and it looked like he loved it. The hamster was taken to the local animal shelter, but one policeman couldn’t say goodbye.
“The next day, one of our police officers appeared at the animal shelter and adopted him as a new family member. Let’s say he has been also warmly welcomed as a part of the whole ‘family’ of the Berlin Police department,” the police spokesperson said.
