If you have lost faith in humanity, we’re hoping that this incredible man will restore it. His name is Mohammad Alaa Aljaeel. He lives in the middle of a war, destruction and violence, in Aleppo, Syria. He could leave his country, but he decided to stay because many lives depend on him.
Mohammad is a guardian of 170 cats, that were left behind in the raging war zone. Mohammad is the founder of a sanctuary called “11 Gattaro d’ Aleppo”, a place filled with his feline friends.
“Since everyone left the country, including my own friends, these cats have become my friends here,” says Mohammad.
“Someone who has mercy in their heart for people has mercy for every living thing,” Alaa told BBC.
