The structure of our nails is determined genetically, but there are things we can do to improve the health of our nails. A proper diet and proper nail care will help you maintain your nails pliable and not brittle.
Here’s what you can do to keep your nails healthy and strong!
- If you want to have healthy and beautiful nails you need to eat healthy.
- Start eating products that contain gelatin such as jelly, milk, soup, soy products, wheat, egg yolks, seafood etc.
- Eat foods that contain vitamin A because it will help your nails strengthen and grow faster. Carrots, parsley, whole butter, liver and tomatoes are rich in vitamin A.
- Vitamin B will help your nails grow faster and will improve the absorption of proteins. Eat more egg yolks, whey germs and cabbage.
- If you want your nails to be strong, you need to eat foods rich in calcium.
- Sulfur will protect your nails from inflammations. You can find sulfur in onions, cabbage and cucumbers.
- Your nails need exfoliation. Scrub your nails with a soft brush at least once a day.
- Massage your nails with hand lotion at least once a day. This will keep them moisturized and healthy.
- Use rubber gloves when you do housework.
- Don’t apply nail polish too often because your nails can turn yellow.
