This Chinese man was walking down the street when he saw a group of people selling live dogs trapped in bags for meat consumption. He just couldn’t walk by and decided to buy one of the dogs.
Xingyi Danielle’s dad bought the dog for $90 and saved his life.
“His environment isn’t dog-friendly so he couldn’t buy more,” said Danielle. “But [he] at least got to save one.”
As soon as he returned home, the man took a photo of the dog in the bag to show the world how these poor animals are sold like a cheap commodity rather than a living thing.
Currently the dog is staying at the man’s office, because the place where the man lives doesn’t allow dogs. Most importantly, Doggo didn’t end up as a food on someone’s plate. The dog couldn’t be happier to be given a second chance at life.
