Are you a type of person other’s always say they want to be around? How do you feel when you look at your reflection in the mirror? Are you proud?
It is an age old cliché that says in order to fall in love with someone, you need to fall in love with yourself first. So, on the scale of one to Samantha, how much do you love yourself?

Surround yourself with those who will lift your spirits
In order to walk through life with a positive attitude, you need to get rid of all toxic people and cultivate those relationships that lift you up. Find friends who are some sort of a reflection of a person you aspire to become one day. Be with those who you admire, respect and love – and most importantly, who feel the same about you. Friends are people who are there for you, those who help you, not do you harm. After all, life is really way too short to spend it on those who are not worth your time.
Be kind and respectful of others
In order to receive respect and admiration, you have to give it to others, make them feel good. Treat everyone with the same amount of admiration, and you are bound to see them reciprocate. Still, there will always be those who are rude to you, no matter how you act around them. Don’t let them get the best of you – stay classy, but slowly, yet surely start erasing them from your life. In time, people will notice your kindness, and it’s highly likely you’ll see positive results. It’s the golden rule: if you want love, you have to give love; if you want great friends, you have to be one.
Learn to let go
Everybody makes mistakes. Holding on to resentment won’t do you any good, and you will only end up hurting more than that other person who did you harm. You need to forgive, although it will not erase the past. Remember – no one expects you to completely forget about the past, just let go of the pain and learn from the mistakes you have made. At times, the mistake will be trusting a person when you actually shouldn’t, and that is fine – you two will reconcile, maybe even continue hanging out in the future, but you will know better.
Beautiful on the inside and out
True beauty comes from the inside, your confidence. However, many are those who lack courage and self-assurance because they are not completely satisfied with the image they see when they look at their reflection in the mirror. Luckily, that is something you can change. And we don’t mean just getting new clothes, haircut or visiting professional makeup artist. We are talking about improving your diet and getting a gym membership – regular workout will sculpt your body and boost your confidence. It’s also a great place to meet new people. Have you ever wondered how to meet a guy at the gym? Now’s your chance to learn how to become friends (or even more) with someone you meet in such casual environment.
Keep your every promise and tell only truth
Did you promise to be somewhere or do something – keep your word! If you said something – own up to it! Honesty is the best policy, even when times are harsh. Sometimes, not even white lies are going to cut it. Friendships and love never hurt people, it’s the lies that are told among people that mess up a good thing.
The bottom line…
Start with yourself. And when you’re among other people, be yourself, and they will appreciate the honesty. Just think – what kind of person would you like to walk down the street with? Have lunch with? Most importantly – who do you want to wake up next to in the morning? Once the answer to all these questions is someone like me, you are ready for the next chapter of your life.
