Bruno has been walking 4 miles every day to Longville, Minnesota, for the past 12 years just so he could say “hi” to everyone in the town.
More than 10 years ago, a man came into Larry LaVallee’s yard holding a puppy. The passer-by thought the dog was Larry’s and he didn’t want him to get lost. It turned out the puppy was a stray, but the moment Larry saw him, he decided to keep him and give him a home.
Bruno adores going on journeys. Larry tried to chain him, but that could’ve ended really bad since the dog almost hanged himself trying to get out. Larry made peace and let Bruno enjoy his adventures.
Longville’s residents have become accustomed to seeing Bruno every day, walking around town. He visits the library, city hall, grocery stores, the ice cream shop and some offices. Town people adore him and often treat him with meat scraps.
People love Bruno so much that they named him the town’s ambassador and dog. They even gave him a carved wooden statue!
