No one wants to see a pimple or a zit on their face or any part of their body! Everyone’s first reaction when they see a zit is to pop it but popping it isn’t always the best solution. If don’t pop your pimple properly, you might end up with a scar and the infection might spread.
Keep on reading to learn how to pop a pimple the right way!
1. Wash your hands thoroughly
Before you start doing anything, wash your hands carefully and thoroughly. Pimples are very sensitive and if you touch them with dirty hands, you’ll make your problem even worse.
2. Clean the surrounding skin
Grab a cotton ball and dip it in anti-bacterial cleanser. Wipe the areas around your pimple to get rid of excess oils and bacteria that could prevent your pimple to heal fast.
3. Exfoliate
Exfoliation will help you get rid of dead skin cells and will make your skin loser and softer, making it easier to pop the pimple. Choose an exfoliator that contains salicylic acid and dab a small amount of it on the area where you have pimples. Wash it off with lukewarm water.
4. Pop at the center of the pimple
Don’t place your fingers directly on the pimple, but next to it. Gently push with your fingers and the pus will come out easily. Keep on pushing until the entire pus is out. Don’t touch the pus or the pimple after popping it. Use a cotton swab to clean the pus. After you’ve popped your pimple, clean it with some antiseptic solution.
