Anja Ringgren Lovén has recently shared a devastating and heartbreaking photo on her Facebook profile from a 2-year old Nigerian boy who was left to starve and die. The photo went instantly viral and broke millions of hearts.
The boy was abandoned by his family and accused of being a “witch child”. On January 31st, he was rescued by Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Loven, who began to treat his condition, also named him Hope.
In just 8 weeks from his rescue, Hope has undergone a miraculous recovery.
“As you can see on the pictures, Hope is really enjoying his life now having 35 new brothers and sisters who all take such good care of him, play with him, study with him, and make sure he is safe and is getting a lot of love.”
Unfortunately, Hope has been diagnosed with hypospadias, a genital birth defect- birth defect of the urethra in the male where the urinary opening is not at the usual location on the head of the penis.
