Too much sitting is really bad and it can cause lower back pain, neck pain, knee pain, poor flexibility in the legs and hips and excess fat around your waist.

Luckily, if you’re a person that works a desk job, there’s this super easy exercise you can try that will help you counteract some of the negative effects of sitting.

The exercise is called yoga squat and it only takes a couple of minutes to perform.

How To Do The Yoga Squat

Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Bend your knees. Drop your hips towards the floor. Go as low as you can while keeping your heels flat on the floor.

Once you reach the lowest and most comfortable squatting position, bring your hands into a praying pose. Press the back of your upper arms against the inner parts of your knees gently.

While you’re in the squatting position, make sure you keep your back as straight as you can.

By doing this a few times a day, you’ll start to feel more flexible and less creaky. Do this exercise every hour and you’ll notice the amazing results!
