Meet Annabelle. She’s a 10 year old dog that was abandoned in the Baldwin park Animal Shelter. Annabelle spent a lot of time in the shelter, always huddled up in the corner of the enclosure, waiting for someone to give her love and a loving home.
Luckily for Annabelle, a visitor came to the shelter and saw her. His name was John Hawng and he immediately noticed how loving and caring Annabelle can be. He took many heartbreaking photos of her and posted them on Facebook, to help her find a new home. Not long after the Annabelle’s story went public, someone called. A volunteer from “Leashes of Love Rescue, Inc” took Annabelle out from the shelter.
“She was so excited and loving. She has a calm energy and loves to be held. When she gets excited she spins in a circle,” said Taunya Huffman Henley, president of Leashes of Love Rescue.
Annabelle was taken to the vet and unfortunately, they determined that she has a tumor on her head, dental issues, an eye infection and skin irritation. Annabelle is receiving treatment for all of her issues and is now recovering in a foster home. Annabelle loves her foster mommy and loves sleeping next to her. She even has doggy siblings and loves spending time with them.
