Through her travels, White Dove has lived in six countries and learned five languages in her lifetime, allowing her to witness firsthand the inequalities that exist in different cultures and societies. During a medical mission in East Africa, White Dove witnessed a violent grenade attack that killed 100 children and injured over 300 civilians, including herself. Despite her wounds, she set up an emergency shelter for the children in desperate need of medical attention, and as she tended their grievous injuries, she sang to them. The children began calling her Karawan, which means “white dove,” and this experience left an indelible mark on White Dove’s heart.
Over the years, White Dove saw firsthand the devastating effects of organ trafficking in children. According to The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCIB), an estimated 12,000 organs are sold illegally every year, and children are among the most vulnerable victims of this heinous crime.

Organ trafficking is a lucrative business, and traffickers will stop at nothing to exploit vulnerable children.
