Every year, hundreds of shelter dogs are being euthanized. This one man, trying to save the lives of shelter dogs, has created the organization “Wings of Rescue”. The non-profit organization has gathered many volunteer pilots who use their charter and private planes to fly shelter dogs all over the country in order to find them new homes.
Yehuda Netanel, the founder of “Wings of Rescue”, has rescued more than 300 shelter dogs on his own. Today, “Wings of Rescue” has 28 volunteer pilots who help puppies find new homes.
Since 2099, the organization has managed to save 12.000 dogs and they plan on saving 7000 dogs this year.
Wings of Rescue runs only on charitable donations and the selfless service of volunteer pilots. Each trip amounts to about $80 per dog.
You can donate on their organization’s website.
