Meet Valentino, the cat who had a really rough past. Nobody in the shelter where he was left knows his story, but it was evident that his life had been very tough. He was all covered in dirt and suffered from a very contagious skin disease called sarcoptic mange. His eyes were completely closed from the infection.
Many thought that this sick cat was at death’s door, and no one wanted to touch him, except for this amazing woman. When Elaine Seamans headed to medical at the Baldwin park shelter, she noticed the poor cat and she was shocked by his appearance. She opened his cage door and took Valentino in a warm embrace. Then the kitty put his head on her shoulder and made the tiniest cry for help.
“This is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met. When I saw him in medical at Baldwin park shelter, he stole my heart,” said Elaine.
Seamans decided to try to help this poor, ill cat. She contacted a rescue group from California named Leave No Pets Behind, who immediately took Valentino in their hospital. Now the cat that no one wanted to touch, receives all necessary medical care, attention and love.
“He has a long way to go, however each new day brings small improvements… All he wants is love,” said from the vet hospital.
Valentino is doing well, and thanks to this woman he has a second chance at life.
