Nicole has loved cats since she was a kid, but was never sure when it’s the right time to get one. Well, faith knew when was the right time and brought not one, but two cats in her life at the same time. Nicole was visiting a local farm when she saw 2 kittens hiding in a barn. The kittens were only 4-months old and were in pretty bad shape. The moment she saw them, Nicole knew she had to do something to help them.
“They were in a desolate condition with mites and infections in their ears. It hurt me to see them suffer, so I took both home. They both were incredibly beautiful with black and white coats and had wonderful and warm personalities,” explains Nicole.
She named them Rosie and Elli. Nicole gave them so much love and care that the kittens soon became strong and healthy.
Nicole noticed that Ellie was a bit different from the beginning. Ellie was extremely cuddly and affectionate, not like other cats. After 9 months, Nicole noticed a small white patch on her coat. Ellie’s appearance started changing and she started having more patches all over her coat. Nicole got a bit scared and took the cat to the vet for a check up. The vet explained to Nicole that Elli had a condition called vitiligo and that there’s no need to worry. The condition doesn’t cause any physical harm, it only gives Elli such a unique look.
Nicole says that Elli now looks like a little snow owl and that’s very adorable.
